I know it’s cutting it a little close, but my mom’s birthday is 10/16, and I have no clue what to give her.She’s going to be 56, she’s disabled (walks with a cane and has mobility issues due to full spinal fusion, both hips replaced, and currently awaiting a knee replacement), and she lives 1200 miles away from me.She’s also currently fighting to get disability pay from her state, and so is out of work and will soon be moving in with a friend because she can’t afford to live by herself. I mention this because she is currently in the process of getting rid of a TON of material possessions, since she can’t afford to put them in storage and won’t have room at her friend’s apartment.Normally in a situation like this, I would think an experience would be more valuable than something material, but living so far away doesn’t really give me that option. I’m not in a financial position to be able to pay for something big like a storage unit or anything like that, but I don’t think getting her something like jewelry would be appropriate at this point in her life. Its our second year together and man i suck at choosing gifts, and i don't like to give those regular ones that shell never even look at. I cant give her something to hang on a wall because she doesnt have space on the walls of her room,neither put on a shelf cause she got none at her room. Giving jewels/chocolate/perfume are kinda meh, not that she wouldnt like, but i wanted to give her something more special. I would really appreciate some ideas, cause i just wanna give her a nice gift, she always gives me cool stuff. btw, we dont give muuuch expensive gifts, neither of us work so we keep our budget usually low, but i dont mind spending a bit more because i love her more than anything.cheers!
